Understanding Your Ace Plan: Regular vs. Pro

Ace comes in two tiers for embed users: Regular and Pro. Both give you a powerful AI assistant inside Follow Up Boss — but Pro unlocks deeper communication access, voice chat, and integrations with external AI tools.

This article explains exactly what each plan can and cannot do so you know what to expect.

What Regular Includes

Regular plan gives you a fully capable AI assistant for everyday CRM work:

  • Full contact management — view, edit, add notes, update tags, change stages, manage custom fields
  • Tasks & appointments — create, edit, complete, view overdue tasks and upcoming appointments
  • Deals & pipelines — create deals, update status, view pipeline
  • Action plans & templates — apply, pause, resume action plans; use email and SMS templates
  • Smart lists & segmentation — find contacts by stage, tag, last activity, price range, and more
  • Communication metadata — see who called/texted/emailed and when, with outcomes and durations
  • Email drafting — Ace drafts emails for you to review and copy/paste (or send via Gmail if connected)

What you won't see on Regular:

  • Call transcript content — you'll see call metadata, but not the conversation
  • Email body content — you'll see that an email was sent, but not what it said
  • SMS text content — you'll see that a text was sent, but not the message

What Pro Adds

Full Communication Access

Pro unlocks the actual content of all past communications:

  • Call transcripts — full speaker-attributed transcripts ("Agent said X, Contact said Y") plus AI-generated summaries with suggested next steps
  • Email content — read full subject lines and email bodies, not just activity timestamps
  • SMS content — read full text message threads

Send Without Leaving Ace

  • Send email directly — Ace drafts the email, you approve, it sends through FUB's outbox automatically
  • Send SMS directly — same flow: draft → confirm → sent via FUB

AI-Powered Intelligence

  • AI Timeline Summary — when you open a contact, ask "summarize and suggest next steps" for an instant briefing based on all their history
  • AI Message Generator — personalized follow-up messages for intros, re-engagement, cold leads, and custom scenarios
  • Automation intelligence — ask Ace "what happens when a Zillow lead comes in?" or "how are leads from Facebook routed?" and get a real answer

Voice Chat ("Ace Anywhere")

Talk to your contacts' data hands-free. Voice Chat lets you ask questions, add notes, and manage tasks by speaking — useful when you're driving between showings or at an open house.

MCP Integrations

Connect your Follow Up Boss CRM data to external AI tools:

  • Claude Desktop — use Ace's CRM context inside Anthropic's Claude app
  • ChatGPT — bring your contact data into OpenAI's ChatGPT

Set up integrations at Settings > Integrations inside the Ace app.

Longer Conversation Memory

Pro keeps 50 messages of context in a session (vs. 30 on Regular), which matters for longer back-and-forth conversations or complex multi-step tasks.


How to Upgrade

Your plan is set by your account admin. If you're on Regular and want to upgrade to Pro:

  1. Ask your Follow Up Ace account owner to upgrade your seat in the admin dashboard
  2. Or contact us at support@followupace.com and we'll get it sorted
