Understanding Your Ace Plan: Regular vs. Pro

Ace comes in two tiers for embed users: Regular and Pro. Both give you a fully capable AI assistant inside Follow Up Boss. The difference is in the quality of the AI model, the depth of context it can hold, and a handful of Pro-exclusive capabilities like voice chat and memory.

This article explains exactly what each plan does and does not include.

What Regular Includes

Regular gives you a fully capable AI assistant for everyday CRM work:

• Full CRM access — view and update contacts, notes, tags, stages, custom fields
• Tasks & appointments — create, edit, complete, view overdue tasks and upcoming appointments
• Deals & pipelines — manage deals, update status, review the pipeline
• Action plans & templates — apply, pause, resume action plans; use email and SMS templates
• Smart lists & segmentation — find contacts by stage, tag, last activity, and more
• Email & SMS drafting — Ace drafts messages for you to review and send
• Ace Companion — the floating window that follows you contact-to-contact in FUB (see below)
• NEXT view — today's prioritized call list, top 5 contacts

What Pro Adds

? A Smarter, More Capable AI Model

Pro runs on Anthropic's Claude Sonnet — a significantly more capable model than the standard tier. This means:

• More nuanced, accurate responses to complex questions
• Better reasoning about your pipeline and contacts
• Longer, higher-quality drafts
• Higher output throughput — Pro handles longer tasks without cutting off

? More Conversation Context

Pro keeps 50 messages of history in a session vs. 30 on Regular. This matters for multi-step agentic workflows — longer back-and-forth sessions where earlier context affects later answers.

?️ Voice Chat

Talk to Ace hands-free. Ask questions, add notes, and manage contacts by speaking — great when you're driving between showings or at an open house. Voice Chat is only available on Pro.

? Contact Memory

Ace remembers facts about specific contacts across sessions on Pro — things like buyer preferences, conversation notes, or personal details you've told Ace to keep in mind. Regular users start fresh on each session.

? MCP Integrations

Connect your Follow Up Boss CRM data to external AI tools:

• Claude Desktop — use Ace's CRM context inside Anthropic's Claude app
• ChatGPT — bring your contact data into OpenAI's ChatGPT

Set up at Settings > Integrations inside Ace.

Pro users see the top 10 contacts in the NEXT pane (vs. top 5 for Regular).

Using the Ace Companion

Both Regular and Pro users get access to the Ace Companion — a floating window that tags along while you work in Follow Up Boss on desktop. Here's how it works:

1. Open the Companion — click the Open Companion button in the top-right of the Ace embed.
2. Go to the NEXT view — this shows today's prioritized call list. Pick who to reach out to next and click their name.
3. FUB loads that contact — the Companion detects who you're looking at and the NOW pane updates with a briefing: last interaction, priority signals, and what to say.
4. Collaborate with Ace in the embed — click back into the Ace embed on that contact's page. Ask Ace to draft a follow-up email, SMS, talking points, or anything else you need.
5. Review, adjust, and fire away — Ace drafts it, you refine it, then send. Back to the NEXT view for the next contact.

The Companion is designed for desktop use — it sits alongside FUB, reads context from the active contact in the embed, and helps you move efficiently through your list without switching windows or losing your place.

How to Upgrade

Your plan is set by your account admin. If you're on Regular and want to upgrade to Pro:

1. Ask your Follow Up Ace account owner to upgrade your seat in the admin dashboard
2. Or contact us at support@followupace.com and we'll get it sorted
