Connect FollowUpAce to Claude, ChatGPT & Other AI Assistants via MCP

FollowUpAce supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — the open standard adopted by Anthropic, OpenAI, and others for connecting AI assistants directly to external tools and data. Once connected, your AI assistant can search your CRM, create tasks, send emails, pull market data, and more — all through natural conversation.

This is an Ace Pro feature. An active Ace Pro subscription ($55/seat/month) is required to use MCP integrations.

Connect Claude (claude.ai)

Claude supports MCP through its Connectors feature (called "Custom Connectors" for Pro/Max plans, configured under "Organization Settings → Connectors" for Team/Enterprise plans).

Using Claude Desktop

Claude Desktop also supports remote MCP connectors using the same URL (https://followupace.com/mcp). Remote connectors connect via Anthropic's cloud — not your local machine — so no local config file is needed. Add it the same way you would in claude.ai.

> Note: Remote MCP connectors work across Claude Desktop, claude.ai, and mobile apps because Anthropic brokers the connection from their cloud infrastructure. Your FollowUpAce server is reachable from anywhere.

Connect ChatGPT

ChatGPT supports MCP through its Integrations settings (available on Pro, Plus, Business, Enterprise, and Education plans).

When connecting, authenticate using your FollowUpAce email — you'll receive a verification code to your inbox on first connection.

Authentication

FollowUpAce uses a magic code flow for MCP authentication:

No separate API key or password is required. You can revoke access at any time from the AI Integrations page in your dashboard.

Troubleshooting

Can't see the AI Integrations tab?
AI Integrations requires an active Ace Pro subscription. If you have Pro seats assigned, make sure your plan is active in the Billing section.

Authentication code not arriving?
Check your spam folder. The code comes from a FollowUpAce email address. If it's still not there, try requesting a new code — codes expire after a few minutes.

Connector connected but Claude/ChatGPT isn't using it?
In Claude, connectors must be enabled per conversation via the + button → Connectors. In ChatGPT, make sure Developer Mode is enabled under Settings → Integrations → Advanced if you're on a plan that requires it.

Getting a "server not reachable" error?
The FollowUpAce MCP server is publicly hosted — no VPN or firewall configuration is needed on your end. If the error persists, check [status.followupace.com] or contact support.
